IBM pre-announced better-than-expected 2007 fourth-quarter sales and earnings earlier this week, leading some to suggest that the long-anticipated tech slowdown wasn’t going to be so bad after all. But IBM’s full earnings, released this afternoon, paint a bleaker picture.
