As several readers have noted over at the Barron's blog, who cares what a financial analyst thinks about a half-finished movie? I mean, could anything be less relevant to anything (except filling the space in your column)?

For Cars, Ratatouille and Wall-E, I've thought the exact same thing. Especially Cars. There is no reason to ask the question is such a negative way. Do you have ANY reason to think it other than you can't believe anyone could do what Pixar is doing?

As long as Steve Jobs is the majority stockholder at Disney, Pixar will be treated by Disney in a hands-off manner. And that can only be good. Because Disney's business model doesn't allow for quality at Pixar's level.
