Skyhook Positions Itself for Attack on Google

Skyhook Wireless, maker of technology for determining location using nearby Wi-Fi signals, filed suit against Google today. Twice, in fact. In Massachusetts Superior Court, the company accused Google of business interference, alleging that the Android creator used its clout with handset makers to block Skyhook’s positioning technology, dooming some valuable contracts. And in U.S. District Court, Skyhook charged Google with infringing on four of its patents. No comment yet from Google.
