Palm: Planning a Centro Price Cut?

In the mobile phone business, the big news this week is Friday’s arrival of Apple’s (AAPL) 3G iPhone. But Palm (PALM) apparently has some ideas on how to take advantage of the extra traffic the new iPhone will generate in AT&T (T) stores.

Apple Shares Rise on Bullish Notes From Merrill, Goldman

Apple shares are moving higher in pre-market trading this morning, propelled by bullish research notes from both Merill Lynch and Goldman Sachs.

Goldman Sachs’ David Bailey added the stock today to the firm’s “Americas Conviction Buy List,” and upped his price target to $220 from $185.

What’s Up With Apple?

Apple (AAPL) shares are getting hit hard in today’s broad market selloff. While there are some minor news developments involving Apple–a lawsuit over the use of the phrase “Mighty Mouse,” a report that the company will use LED backlit displays in future laptops–there’s nothing obvious that would be pressuring the stock.
