Ford and Microsoft Team Up to Promote the New Taurus

Ford Motor Co. and Microsoft Corp. are teaming up to market the auto maker’s redesigned Taurus sedan.

Ford and Microsoft first teamed up a few years ago to launch the Sync telematics system, which enables drivers to hook Bluetooth entertainment and communications devices into the car.

On D.C. Streets, the Cellphone as Lifeline

To the usual trappings that help many homeless people endure life on the streets–woolen blankets, shopping carts or cardboard box shelters–add the humble cellphone.
Today, it’s not unusual for the homeless to whip out Nokia 6085 GoPhones (with optional Bluetooth and USB connectivity), stop at a public computer to check email or urge friends to read their blogs.

iPhoneDevCamp 2

This weekend in San Francisco, the second annual iPhoneDevCamp 2 is underway. Whereas the first confab focused primarily on Web applications, this one has a definite native application flavor, thanks in large part to the fact that the iPhone software development kit (SDK) is out of beta and now available for developers.

When the iPhone was released in June, many developers were disappointed by the absence of an SDK for writing third-party applications on day one.
